Surgery in Practice and Science is a clinical surgery journal covering all ten surgical specialties and encourages submissions from every region of the world. As of 2025, the journal is indexed in Scopus, Clarivate’s ESCI (with an Impact Factor), and PubMed PMC indexing. The journal will focus on high-quality submissions only and will accept the best pieces of research from around the world. The journal will judge submissions purely on their novelty and impact on the scientific literature and how they will change healthcare practice. The journal will publish review, original research articles and opinions on the following fields:
