Catalog scope notes
Official Journal of the Section on Surgery of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, the American Pediatric Surgical Association, the Canadian Association of Paediatric Surgeons, the Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons, and the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group. The Journal's mission is to provide the most current and impactful source of clinical and scientific knowledge and evidence in pediatric surgery. The Journal aims to improve the surgical care of infants and children, not only through advances in physiology and pathology, but also by attention to the unique physical and non-physical needs of the young patient. Case studies with five or fewer patients should be submitted to the Journal's open access companion title, Journal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports. Another sister publication, Journal of Pediatric Surgery Open, publishes articles and case series of more than five patients. Both of these journals are excellent venues for papers that describe a new operative technique.
