The Journal of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology is the society’s official peer-reviewed, fully open access journal to promote research conducted in the industry. JCAG publishes original clinical and translational research papers, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, state-of-the-art review articles from international experts, clinical guidelines, images and editorials focusing on the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. JCAG is committed to improving the care of adults and children, in Canada and throughout the world. The Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) was founded in 1962 with an aim to support and engage in the study of the organs of the digestive tract. The society has grown to include more than 1,000 members. The society actively promotes the advancement of the science and art of gastroenterology by providing leadership in patient care, research, teaching and continuing professional development (CPD); and to promote the highest ethical standards.
